Marvin Roloff served the publishing house for nearly 40 years.

The Rev. Marvin Roloff, recently retired, was honored on April 25 in recognition of 39 years in the employ of the publishing house of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and its predecessor unit, the former ALC’s Augsburg Publishing House.

A sculpture honoring him stands in the lobby of the ELCA publishing house in downtown Minneapolis. Roloff, who began as a curriculum editor for Augsburg Publishing House, rose to the position of chief executive officer of Augsburg Fortress. The sculpture, created by artist Alan Schafle of Cleveland, Ohio, combines images of a book, dove/flame and orb/cross.
