St. Andrew’s opens doors to new resource center

The Revs. Sarah Breckenridge and Mike Carlson led a procession on March 27 from St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church’s sanctuary to its Great Hall, which houses a new Community Resource Center. St. Andrew’s is an ELCA congregation in Mahtomedi, Minnesota. The new center will be open seven days a week, providing both emergency and long-term services like counseling, clothing, financial assistance, tutoring, tax preparation, and school supplies. On Thursday night, the resource center will provide a free community meal, followed by “Table Talk,” a chance for participants to “look at questions of faith and daily life in a relaxed way. … [and to] contemplate God’s activity in our world and in our lives.” For more information, call 651/762-9124 or e-mail center@saintandrews.org.
