Bible translator team commissioned

Brian and Anja Buuck, shown holding their children Jonah and Damaris, have been assigned by Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) to work with one of the Chinantec dialects of the Oaxaca state in southern Mexico. They were commissioned on September 1 by Brian’s father, the Rev. David Buuck, right. Brian, a St. Olaf College graduate, met his wife in Germany. Brian says he was led to the work of translating by his interest in and capability with languages and puzzles, coupled with his feeling of being called to ministry other than parish ministry. The commissioning service was held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 5701 Eden Prairie Road, Minnetonka, Minnesota.
