Roland Seboldt honored at paper’s Annual Dinner October 12

The Rev. Roland Seboldt accepted the 16th Gold Pen Award from his former publishing colleague, the Rev. Lloyd Svendsbye. The presentation took place at the Metro Lutheran Annual Dinner on October 12. Seboldt was recognized for more than three decades as a book editor for Concordia and Augsburg publishing houses.
The dinner was the largest in the paper’s history, with 256 in attendance. The previous highest turnout was 223. Keynoting the event was Minneapolis Star Tribune feature writer, Chuck Haga, who described his experience researching and writing a week-long series about the small town of Olivia, Minnesota.
