Augsburg, Augustana, Sioux Falls getting new presidents

Augsburg College announced on February 10 that Paul Pribbenow has been elected the Minneapolis school’s 11th president.
Pribbenow, who will replace current Augsburg President William Frame at mid-summer, is president of Rockford College, a private school in Rockford, Illinois. Prior to Rockford, heserved as research fellow for the Center of Inquiry in the Liberal Arts at Wabash College in Indiana. He was previously associate dean of the Divinity School at the University of Chicago. His wife, Abigail, is an arts administrator.
The board of trustees of Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, elected Robert C. Oliver Jan. 14 to serve as its 23rd president. Oliver is currently a faculty member and department chair at the college. The 52-year-old associate professor and chair of the Augustana Department of Business will begin his new duties August 1. He succeeds Dr. Bruce Halverson, who announced last summer his decision to retire effective July 31.
Prior to his appointment to the Augustana faculty, he was the Southern District president of Wells Fargo Bank of South Dakota.
