Caught Reading on Mount Sinai
A strong wind at sunrise didn’t stop this Northwest Synod of Wisconsin (NSW) ELCA delegation from catching up on Metro Lutheran news while on top of Mount Sinai, Egypt.
Participants included, from left, the Rev. Kurt Jacobson, Trinity Lutheran Church, Eau Claire; the Rev. Brian Ferguson, Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Hudson; the Rev. Todd Iverson, Assistant to the Bishop, NSW, Chetek; Mary Elworthy, Trinity Lutheran Church, Eau Claire; Gladys Carlson, First Lutheran Church, Prentice; the Rev. Sandy Johnson, First Lutheran Church, Prentice, and Zion Lutheran Church, Brantwood, all in Wisconsin. The delegation, 24 in all, traveled to Israel and Palestine, with 19 including Egypt in the trip.
