Burnsville school wins TC Lutheran youth soccer league
Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Burnsville won the Twin Cities Lutheran Grade School League (TCLGSL) soccer championship October 1, beating Crown of Life Lutheran School of West St. Paul in a shootout under the lights at the St. Croix Lutheran High School stadium in West St. Paul.
The teams were tied 0-0 at the end of regulation play and remained scoreless after overtime expired. The Good Shepherd Panthers, a coed team of fifth- through eighth-graders, then came through with the shoot-out victory.
Good Shepherd Lutheran School is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The school is located on the campus of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Burnsville,Minnesota.
