Lutheran named director of Benedictine Center
Sister Lucia Schwickerath, prioress, has announced that Sam Rahberg is the new director of the Benedictine Center, a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters at St. Paul’s Monastery in Maplewood, Minnesota. He will be responsible for developing retreats, workshops, spiritual direction, and other enrichment opportunities.
Rahberg has served as associate director at the Center for five years. Previously, he served as director of Christian education for Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul, and at Concordia University in St. Paul, where he worked in campus ministry. He has a Masters in Theology from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and a BA from Concordia University in St. Paul.
He is a member of Christ Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill.
The Benedictine Center is a nonprofit retreat and conference center offering 100-plus opportunities each year.
