Thrivent wins another workshop recognition

“Identity Theft: What You Need to Know,” an educational workshop developed and presented by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, recently received a 2010 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Award from the Institute for Financial Literacy. The workshop won in the category “Curriculum of the Year, Postsecondary/Adults Credit.”
The EIFLE Award acknowledges innovation and quality of financial literacy education efforts and the commitment of those that offer them.
The identity theft workshop is designed to help participants learn what identity theft is, where and how thieves steal identities, the financial effects of this crime, and tips to help protect against this theft. Participants also learn steps they can take should they fall victim to identity theft.
This is the third consecutive year Thrivent Financial has been honored for its financial education efforts by the Institute for Financial Literacy. Individuals can learn more about Thrivent’s financial education workshops at thrivent.com/findaworkshop.
