Local NALC congregations organize mission districts

Lutherans from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming gathered in Watertown, South Dakota, October 28-29, to formally organize regional mission districts for the newly-formed North American Lutheran Church (NALC).
The Rev. John Bradosky, who was elected bishop of the North American Lutheran Church in August, was the featured speaker for the Midwest NALC Mission Districts Conference.
“Members of NALC congregations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming are coming together in Watertown to celebrate the life we have in the NALC,” said the Rev. Tim Lundeen, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine, Minnesota.
NALC members at the conference formally organized three regional mission districts to assist local congregations in carrying out the mission of the church. Each mission district elected a pastor to serve as dean and a Mission District Council.
The NALC was constituted August 26-27, 2010, in Grove City, Ohio.
