Church of the Lutheran Confession elects new pres

The Church of the Lutheran Confession elected Pastor Michael Eichstadt of Messiah Lutheran Church, Hales Corners, Wisconsin, as its new synod president at its annual conference in late June at Immanuel Lutheran College, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The college is the site of the church body’s residential high school, college, and seminary.
In addition, Immanuel professor Steven Sippert was selected as president of the college by a call committee for educational institutions. Sippert succeeds John Pfeiffer.
The convention also declared Steadfast Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanunda, Australia, and the Lutheran Free Church of Uppland, Sweden, to be confessional fellowship partners.
