The Vincent L. Hawkinson Foundation for Peace and Justice recently announced that its 2012 Honorary Award will be presented to Steve Clemens on Sunday, October 14, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 1660 West County Road B, Roseville, Minnesota.
The Rev. Vincent L. Hawkinson was the long-term pastor of Grace University Lutheran Church, 324 Harvard Street SE, Minneapolis, on the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities campus.
The Hawkinson Foundation annually recognizes the contribution of one or more persons who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to furthering human rights and advocacy for peace and justice in the world. In addition, the foundation provides scholarships to students who have shown leadership in these areas, to provide recognition for their efforts, and to encourage their further efforts in the future.
