Concert to benefit Christmas Lutheran
The Twin Cities-based Legacy Ensemble will offer “Instruments for Peace,” a benefit concert for a ministry of Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, Palestine, at 4:30 p.m., April 7, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2730 East 31st Street, Minneapolis. Donations will go toward a music room at the new Dar al-Kalima College, a ministry of Christmas Lutheran, of which the congregation’s pastor, the Rev. Mitri Raheb, is president.
“The Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb understands the liberating effect of arts and education,” said Barbara Holm, Legacy Ensemble flutist. “We would like to share our music with [Twin Citians], so that [they] can help share music in Bethlehem.”
The concert will feature music by Purcell, Haydn, and Mozart.
