LECNA offers one-stop college shopping
The Lutheran Educational Conference of North America (LECNA) offers up a smorgasbord of Lutheran colleges in six sites in or near Minnesota late in April. Representatives of many of the ELCA, WELS, and LCMS colleges, as well as Bethany Lutheran College (ELS), Mankato, Minnesota, will be available to meet with interested students and families can get a taste of the Lutheran college scene.
LECNA-sponsored college fairs for 2013 are scheduled for the following dates and sites:
* Sunday, April 21, St. Michael Lutheran Church, 9201 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minnesota; 952/831-5276. Registration begins, 6:30 p.m.; financial aid seminar, 6:45 p.m.; College Fair reception, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Seventeen Lutheran colleges will be present.

* Monday, April 22, Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Road 101, Maple Grove, Minnesota; 763/420-5015. Registration begins, 6:30 p.m.; financial aid seminar, 6:45 p.m.; College Fair reception, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Sixteen Lutheran colleges will be present.
* Tuesday, April 23, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley, Minnesota; 952/432-6351. Registration begins, 6:30 p.m.; financial aid seminar, 7:00 p.m.; College Fair reception, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Fifteen Lutheran colleges will be present.
* Wednesday, April 24, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Avenue South, St. Paul; 651/699-1378. Registration begins, 6:30 p.m.; financial aid seminar, 7:00 p.m.; College Fair reception, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Sixteen colleges will be present
* Thursday, April 25, Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Avenue SE, Rochester, Minnesota; 507/288-6430. Registration begins, 6:30 p.m.; financial aid seminar, 7:00 p.m.; College Fair reception, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Eleven Lutheran colleges will be present
* Sunday, April 28, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5500 East 57th Street, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 605/336-3734. Registration begins, 5:30 p.m.; financial aid seminar, 5:45 p.m.; College Fair reception and hors d’oeuvres, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Nine Lutheran colleges will be present.
