WELS seminary to celebrate 150 years
Founded in 1863, Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) theological school, will celebrate its 150th anniversary September 16-17 with a pastoral symposium. The theme of the symposium is “The Pastor and His Seminary Training. The seminary is located in Mequon, Wisconsin.
Presentations for the symposium include “The Pastor as Exegete,” Harland Goetzinger, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ottawa, Ontario; “The Pastor as Dogmatician,” by Michael Seifert, Living Hope Lutheran Church, Midlothian, Virginia; and “The Pastor as Church Historian,” Bart Brauer, Spirit of Life, Byron Center, Michigan.
Registration is open to WELS and Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) active and retired pastors. The fee is $60 for active pastors and $30 for retired clergy.
