Lutheran high school takes 3A football title
The St. Croix Lutheran High School Crusaders took the Minnesota Class 3A football title with a victory over London-New Spicer on November 30, 2013. The Crusaders won the highest scoring Prep Bowl game ever, outlasting their rivals 48-44. The 92-point onslaught bested the previous record game between Dodge Center and Luverne in 2006 by one point.
Coach Carl Lemke’s team reversed its fortunes over the season. The Crusaders lost their first two games of the season, but then went undefeated through the state tournament. This is the Crusaders second title in three years.
