Local church organist offers piano tunes on new CD
When church organist (and former Metro Lutheran staff assistant) Lisa Baker decided to live out her life’s dream of making a recording of her own piano compositions, she started looking for funding sources for the project. Using the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter, she was able to raise $2,800 to “kickstart” the recording.
Believing is Seeing is the result of her efforts and her supporters’ funding. Because Baker exceeded her goal of $2,500, she was able to add a thirteenth piece to the CD.
Baker will hold a CD release party at 7 p.m. on February 7 at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, the congregation where she is the organist. Holy Nativity is located at 3900 Winnetka Avenue North in New Hope, Minnesota.
