Cherish All Children hires Minneapolis prevention coordinator
Cherish All Children, a national Lutheran ministry to prevent child sexual exploitation, has hired Ginny Rudloff as its Minneapolis Prevention Coordinator. Rudloff will work with congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Minneapolis Area Synod ELCA to help them engage more deeply in prevention.
“I am excited by the work that congregations have already done to protect children and look forward to exploring how we can work together to expand prevention,” said Rudloff. She comes to Cherish All Children with almost 30 years of experience in child advocacy and is the former director of CASA Minnesota, an organization supporting volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children.
Formerly known as Cherish Our Children, the organization is housed at Central Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis. Its mission is to “empower, equip, and support leaders to pray, speak, and act on behalf of children in their congregations and community.”
Organized as a ministry of the Minneapolis Area Synod by National Director Amy Hartman, Cherish All Children has built a national presence. Its Fourth National Gathering of Cherish All Children is scheduled for September 18-21, 2014, at the Lial Renewal Center in Whitehouse, Ohio. The gathering provides leaders from around the country to meet, share ministry stories, work through challenges, grow in leadership, and live in God’s abundant grace together, according to Hartman.
