Hundreds gather before work for West Metro National Day of Prayer observance

The 17th Annual West Metro National Day of Prayer breakfast will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Medina Entertainment Center at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1. Representatives of at least 35 churches will offer prayers for a number of public spheres, including government, military, media, business, eduation, church, and family.
The keynote speaker for the morning will be Christian author and vocalist Jean Peterson. Special music willl be offered by Tonia Hughes and Dan Oie. The Rev. Carol Skegstad, Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minnesota, will offer the blessing. The Rev. T.J. Anderson, also of Calvary Lutheran, will offer the closing prayer and benediction.
